Arthritis Action Now

I am writing today as your constituent and someone impacted by arthritis. Arthritis is a critical economic and social challenge for our community and for Canada. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability and joint replacements and costs our economy $45.9 billion annually. This crisis has been misunderstood, ignored and underfunded for too long.

There is now a clear path forward. "Arthritis Action Now: The Plan to End Arthritis in Canada" (arthritis.ca/AANPlan) is an unprecedented solution, co-developed by 21 arthritis-related organizations and shaped by more than 100,000 Canadians. It provides a clear roadmap to prevent arthritis, improve treatment, and ultimately find a cure.

The plan sets out three public policy priorities for action by government at all levels:
1) Timely, appropriate and inclusive arthritis prevention and care
2) Reduction of arthritis-related disability
3) Canada as a leader in arthritis research and innovation

I am asking you to be a champion for the millions of Canadians impacted by this disease. Please show your support for the Plan and work with the arthritis community to begin the implementation of these priorities.
